Optimize the operational parameters to maximise biomass productivity and yield by using online sensor measurements and offline analyses.
Investigate the relationship between operational conditions, biomass composition, and biochemicals formation.
Calculate the mass balance during the process and other fermentation performance parameters (yield, productivities, dry cell weight).
We're looking for candidates with:
Background in biological engineering, biotechnology, biochemical engineering or related areas
Experienced in working in a microbiology lab, aseptic handlings, analyses
Hands on experience with bioreactors

Farmless is a venture-backed Amsterdam-based startup, leading the way in the protein revolution. Our fermentation technology transforms renewable energy into affordable, delicious protein, significantly reducing our ecological footprint. We use 50-100x less land than plant protein and 1000-5000x less than animal protein.
At Farmless we think and operate on a planetary scale, because we want to create a future worth getting excited about.
We believe diversity promotes serendipity. If you're ready to excel in this role, apply now! We value your unique strengths and (culinary) perspectives on the world.
