Internship -  Characterization of functionalities of sustainable protein ingredients for food applications.

Note: the project has a duration of 6-7 months, where 7 months are preferred. The start date is flexible. The work will be mainly conducted at the facilities of Farmless at the Amsterdam Science Park and Schinkel Kwartier.

The internship

At Farmless, we're offering an exciting internship opportunity where you help shape the future of food production. We are looking for a motivated intern who will support us in the investigation of the functional properties of our protein in food applications. During this internship you will work closely with our experienced team of fermentation and food scientists. Dive into the future of sustainable protein production!


As an intern at Farmless, your core responsibilities include:

  • Set up protocols to investigate various food ingredient functionality properties.

  • Analysis of our protein with various analytical methods (e.g. texture analyser).

  • Support food application team with food formulation development. 


We're looking for candidates with:

  • A background in food technology and/or bioprocess technology.

  • Hands-on experience with functional ingredient functionality characterisation techniques and data documentation.

  • Team player with excellent English proficiency.

  • We only hire interns that need to do a mandatory internship for university.

  • Internship duration of 4-6 months, where 6 months is preferred.
