Intern Food Application

The project has a duration of 6-7 months, beginning September/October 2025. We only place current students that need to do a mandatory internship for university.

About Farmless

At Farmless we’re brewing amino acid complete proteins without agricultural land. We’re creating a new interface between food and energy by selecting nutritious microbes that taste great and can grow on renewable energy-based feedstocks. Our fermentation platform is up to 5000 times more land efficient than animals, which allows humanity to free up vast amounts of land, rewild our planet and draw down gigatons of carbon.

The Role

At Farmless, we're offering an exciting internship opportunity where you help shape the future of food production. We are looking for a motivated Food Application intern who will join our team to create the best Food Applications using Farmless protein! The role requires creative thinking combined with a deep understanding of Food Ingredient Functionality.

Responsibilities

• Investigate various food ingredient functionality properties of Farmless protein, and link then to fermentation and harvest parameters.

• Develop various food formulations together with the food application team, and help to understand how Farmless protein behaves in these.

• Support business development in product demonstrations.

Requirements

• A background in food technology and/or bioprocess technology. Culinary experience in a plus.

• Hands-on experience with ingredient functionality characterisation techniques and data documentation.

• Team player with excellent English proficiency.

• We only hire interns that need to do a mandatory internship to graduate from university
